The Weaverville Tribune is a community newspaper dedicated to covering news, events, people and happens in the northern part of Buncombe County. The Weaverville Tribune started publication in the spring 2003 and is a weekly publication, printing every Thursday.
We are a legal publication for the county of Buncombe one of only three and the only locally owned legal publication. We have a deadline on Monday at 5 pm for display and classified advertising and Tuesday at noon for legals.
As a community newspaper we are happy to publish public services announcements (psa) for the community on a first come, first service bases as space allows. PSAs from outside the community are not accepted except as a paid for advertisement. We also accept births and wedding announcements for publication free of charge as long as they are residents of the area or are directly related to someone who lives in the area. Obituaries are also published for nominal cost.
Our mission at the Weaverville Tribune is to deliver fair and accurate articles on the people, places and events in North Buncombe. We hope to help further a sense of community and understanding for residents of the area.
