Ammons marks milestone

 

 

Woodfin - The Woodfin Police Department recently announced that Woodfin Police Lieutenant Chris Ammons had graduated from the Western North Carolina Law Enforcement Leadership Academy.

 

According to Woodfin Police the course last six months and Ammons along with other members of local law enforcement agencies completed 152 hours of instruction that is described as an in-depth examination of leadership issues and practices that are either utilized or should be utilized in the law enforcement community.

 

“This is an extremely challenging course which involves just as much work outside of the classroom as within. Join us in congratulating him on this achievement,” the department said in statement.

 

Chief Michael Dykes added to the praise for Ammons’ accomplishment saying, “We are very proud of Lt. Ammons for his successful completion of the Western North Carolina Leadership Academy. This was the 9th graduating class of future leaders comprised of law enforcement officers from several agencies across the western part of the state. Read more...
